Well, the job search is finally over! I have accepted an offer with the
University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry as a Systems Administrator.
I'll be in charge of system configuration, support, and security. I'm
definitely excited about the position!
September 7th, 2003
I've now been back from my trip described below for around a month. I
have posted a few of the
pictures
from my trip but have not yet put up as many as I would like. I'm
currently employed at the Clear Creek Amana Community School District
on a full time temporary basis. This job along with several part time
positions have been keeping me quite busy. Updates to the webpage today
are to the travel pictures section and the Classes section.
April 26th, 2003
I will be leaving on May 31st to travel to the South Pacific. I will be
returning on July 29th. If you need to contact me during this time it
is best to email me as I will likely have sporadic internet access
during my travels.
My itinerary is:
May 31st: Leave Cedar Rapids and fly to LAX and then on from there to
Rarotonga in the
Cook
Islands.
June 6th: Leave the Cook Islands and fly to
Fiji.
June 12th: Leave Fiji and fly to Auckland,
New
Zealand. I have booked a
21
day tour in
New
Zealand that starts and ends in Auckland.
July 4th: Leave Auckland and fly to Melbourne,
Australia.
After a few days in Melbourne I have a
19 day tour booked in
Australia.
The 19 day tour takes me up the eastern coast of
Australia.
July 29th: The end of the trip begins as I fly from
Cairns -> Auckland -> Los
Angeles ->
Las Vegas ->
Chicago
-> Cedar Rapids.
